June 1, 200917 yr Regarding proof of address: All of the utility bills etc are in my wifes name - same surname as myself . Would they suffice as proof of address?
June 1, 200917 yr Are you asking about an extension of stay based upon marriage? You don't need it to get a visa. For an extesnion of stay they normally don't ask for it. But those would do if needed since you are married. If you own the house and your wifes house book shows that as her home then it would not be needed at all.

Thanks I am currently on 'multiple O' and intend to apply for marraige visa before expiry. House is in company name and wifes name is on the blue book - so am i to understand that blue book with her name in it is ok for proof of my address - or utility bills in her (my surmane). Sorry just to clarify
June 1, 200917 yr You will need her house book (blue in color) when you go for the extension anyway. If it is for where you are living that is all you will need,
June 1, 200917 yr What is confusing here is that there is no such a thing as marriage visa. You have non-O visa and now you plan to apply for one year extension of stay based on marriage to thai national. Technically it's not a visa you are applying. Common mistake and cause of confusion in almost every visa thread here. Blue book should be ok, but no harm done carrying few utility bills with you in case they ask...
June 1, 200917 yr Agree with all the above. No such thing as a Marriage Visa. You are applying for 12 month extension of your permission to stay. Proof of address not needed.
June 1, 200917 yr The best policy regarding documentation: Take everything remotely associated with what you are trying to accomplish. Do not offer anything unless you are trying to satisfy an inquiry upon their part and even then.....nothing more than is necessary. Keep your unneeded documents stowed away in your bag or something.......out of sight. Regards
