I am at presemt on a Immigrant O visa, which expires on the 11.06.2009. Can I extend my visa on the 11.06.09 or can i apply for the above mentioned visa. I have at this stage the required Baht 400,000.- not in my bank for 3 month as per Immigration requirements.

What are the possibilities?

You can get 60 days extension of stay so you can visit your wife.

Fee, 1900 baht.

After the 60 day xtension the money will be in the bank long enough and you can apply for a one year extension.

As said a one off 60 day extension to visit your Wife.

If you are thinking about the 12 month extension the 400,000 Baht has to be in a Thai bank for 2 months.

The 60 day extension will give you a bit more time.

You should not wait until the 6th to extend. Expect you will need TM.7 form with 4x6cm current photo, 1,900 baht, marriage certificate/copy and her ID card/copy plus your passport/departure card/copies. If she can go with you so much the better.

Add your wifes house book to the list.

Having the wife with you will help a lot.
