Hi can anyone help.

Somehow after picking up a virus I lost alot of functions on my pc, I managed somehow to get them all back. But what I'm left with is when I try to get a internet connection I recieve a message that it's unable to detect my modem.

Any idea's would be very helpful.

vodka - It would be helpful if you gave us a little more info, such as:

1. Your operating system: (Win98/98SE/ME/2K/XP)

2. Computer make/model/type: (Sony/Vario RS-530/Desktop)

3. Have you tried reinstalling modem driver using Device Manager? (see Help file for details)

4. If computer is a desktop, have you tried physically removing/reinstalling modem card?

5. Do you remember name of the virus you acquired?
