Thing is I've yet to meet anyone that actually likes the new FZ1...

Have you ever sat on one? For something they call sport-touring it's a surprisingly uncomfortable bike. The tank bulges where it should indent and the two piece seat sucks compared to the one piece that was on the old FZ1.

The FZ6 on the other hand is amazingly comfortable- a real sport tourer:

Grossly overpriced at 490,000 Baht, but that's another story :D (Did I mention I've placed my deposit for the new Kawasaki ER6f-ABS?) :)

Price will be 280,000 Baht or less. I'm guesstimating it will come in closer to ~255k Baht. Can't wait!
