How Are Non-immigrant B And Work Permit Connected

Featured Replies

I just resigned from my job at a hotel in Thailand and have conflicting answers about my visa status. Some people say as soon as the work permit is canceled I have 7 or 30 days to leave the country while others say that whatever my visa says in my passport is how long I have in the country and that I just have to leave the country every 90 days. I have not found anything on the MFA website for Thailand so anybody who knows the correct answer could you please pass it along.

Many thanks

If you were on an "Extension of Stay" for business, then you would have to leave immediately or ask for an extension. If you were leaving the country every 90 days, you have a one year multi-entry and can go by the "stay until" date you have in your passport.

If you are on an extension of stay you have to leave on the day your job ends or get a 7 day extension at immigration.

If you are on a visa entry then you can stay for the remainder of your current entry. If it's multiple entry visa it also would be valid and you could use it until it expires.

As said. A Visa obtained form a Thai Consulate. No problem.

An Extension obtained from Immigration. Problem. You have to leave.

does the non b multi entry work like a non o multi?

ie. can you get 15 months out of it?

Make sure you enter before the Visa expires. Even one day before is ok.
