For all the people who have to currently use the Immgration office in Nan, A friend of mine has recently returned from Nan, and was advised that the building under construction on the main 21 highway will house a New Immigration office within the building and it should be open within the next 2 months.

So it may be worth double checking with the Nan office before you trek all the way to Nan, to be told you now have to report to Phetchabun.

Thank you for your report. This was also reported recently. When someone hears the new petchabun office is open please report it and even better help us place the location on google maps.

Let us just hope the staff will be friendly and helpful, like Nan. If they will be the Nong Khai type, I'll rather go back to Nan.

I was in nan last week. They said the new office will open in pitsanulok.

Less than 1 month ago I was told in Nan immigration office it would be Phetchabun.

Just an update,

A friend of mine recently, applied for his retirement visa in Phitsanaluk, and was told that his 90 reporting may well be at Phetchabun, as they expect the new building will be open in August.

The new buiding may be open in August but whether it will have an Immigration Office remains to be seen. This is currently the number 1 rumour/topic amongst the ex-pats at Petch Golf Club (Battle Horse Barracks).

That is one big building too, must have cost millions of Baht.
