Free Dial Up Internet Uk

Featured Replies

I will going to the UK and need to hook up to the internet at a house that doesn't have internet and is in a rural area (no broadband).

I have done this before but it was a few years ago, so was wondering what is available.

I seem to remember the last time I did this it was free but I can't remember what I used. Any recent experiences?

Two choices. Dial up Broadband and Mobile Broadband.

If no phone line, then only mobile broadband. Get a PAYG mobile dongle for less than a fiver: http://www.3dongle4free.co.uk/

Dial up example: http://www.aardvaak.co.uk/

Another option for virtually free mobile broadband use is to purchase an O2 mobile dongle here: http://www.quidco.com/o2/ Sign up to Quidco and proceed.

Not sure if they are still doing it but BT used to do dial up at about 15 quid a month for unlimited.

As a come on the first month was only a pound.

What I did was sign up and then cancel at the end of the first month.

It isn't 'Unlimited' anymore: BT Yahoo Dial Up Internet.

Thank you - now I remember it was Aardvaak that I have used before.

Checking on the mobile broadband it seems that the area I am in does not have coverage. I would need to plop myself at least 10 miles away to get decent coverage. So people might want to check on that before they commit themselves.
