Arriving To Suvarnabhumi With A Cat After Flying 12 Hours.

Hi

I'm arriving to Suvarnabhumi at 6 AM after a 12 hours flight with a 17 years old Persian. Where and how can he have a little rest before my friends arrive to pick us?

The longest trip he's made so far is 6 hours by car, and he didn't eat, drink or pee during all the trip (although I made stops and put him inside a box with sand). When he arrived he was quite sick and had diarrhea. This trip will be 12 hours (plus the extra time at the departure airport) and I don't know how he will react.

My friends will arrive later in the morning, and they recommend that we wait inside the "baggage claim" area until they arrive, because there's no place to sit at the outside area.

Maybe I will have to bring him into the toilet and put some newspapers on the floor.

Do you have experiences with pets at the airport after a long trip?
