There are direct flights for both destinations, however, for other locations you may find cheaper fares if you connect via Hongkong Macau or Guangzhou. Beijing, Shanghai are mega cities, Nearby scenic spots are Hangzhou and Suzhou, some of the canal villages are well worth a day trip.

The most impressive chinese historical place to see is Xian, Han tombs and the city itself.
