My mother-in-law has been diagnosed with kidney stones. The doctor wants to perform surgery but non-invasive ESWT (shockwave) procedure is the treatment of choice. Guess the doctor or hospital don't have access to this equipment.

I'd like to know if anyone has had this treatment in private or government hospitals in the Bangkok / Nonthaburi area.

Which hospital ? What was the cost ? Was a single treatment successful or were follow up treatments needed ? Any side effects ?

Thanks from the mother-in-law.
