Is This Site Blocked? Ning.com

Featured Replies

Hi.

I am riding a Yamaha RXZ. For that reason i am also "member" in an online community called "RXZ Lovers" respective "Zeckers". This is based in Singapore. And there is a website at http://rxzlovers.ning.com

That site was working fine until including yesterday evening.

NOW however it redirects to a site http://58.97.5.29/ict.html which only shows a picture of some plant. I have googled that address and it's the Thai government's block site.

What does a website regarding a Yamaha motorbike model have to do with Thailand's web censoring..?? There's no porn or whatever on that site, just motorbikes!

I will see later if i can get to it through the VPN at work however this is ridiculous.

Best regards.....

Thanh

Not blocked on TRUE. That flower (if what I believe it is) has been found on a number of Singapore sites, including this one, when connection can not be established so do not believe it is formal block action.

Hi.

Well i AM on True (Bangkok, Bang Na), and up to yesterday evening that site was about Yamaha RXZ motorbikes and their riders, not a single picture of a flower. When it was inaccessible the page would just time out (happened before). And as it redirects to an "ict" site...... just put the redirect into Google:

http://www.google.co.th/search?hl=en&q...mp;aq=f&oq=

I will try through a VPN later on, let's see.

Best regards.....

I can access Ning.com through a KSC connection. I searched for "Thailand" on it and the first hit is a site called "UDDTODAY-THE RED SHIRT PEOPLE IN THAILAND". Maybe that is why some ISPs are blocking it?

Accessible via MaxNet

Try using OpenDNS.

Hi :)

Tried that... no go.

Works fine for me [True]

works fine for me - true at pak kret and openDNS , though cached at my router

Hi.

It DOES work at my office, even without the VPN. That's a leased line however (are they affected by censoring..?) also from True. At home i've got ADSL.

Blocked for me too (the whole ning.com domain), True in Bkk with open dns.

Blocked by the ICT:

"

Google translate says "

This site is a site that looks a lese-majesty The site is appropriate or not.

Requested a temporary suspension of the distribution. Until the command is another"

Accessible with CSloxinfo and DNS Advantage

Hi.

Why would they block a site for "Lese Majeste" when it's all about motorbikes..? Or is that just like YouTube back then... one bad site of many and they block the whole thing..? If so how to apply for a job at that place to show them how to block bad sites without taking all the good ones down along with it?

Stupid.

Regards.....

I've had this problem before accessing a particular thread here on TV. See this topic. From the posts here it would seem like it's some unfortunate by-product of weird government shit.

I am using True ADSL/OpenDNS and still loads fine for me. In Latphao area of Bangkok
