Cost 600 baht per year to rent and my wife told me it`s 38000 baht if you lose the key. This is because the boxes and keys are made by Chubb and imported. If rented in joint names you are issued with two keys. You are required to have an account with whatever bank you rent the box.
June 20, 200916 yr If rented in joint names you are issued with two keys. So if there only one name on the account, you only get one key with a 38k penalty if you lose it. Cute Can it be duplicated and without fear of theft?
June 20, 200916 yr This key would be extremely difficult to duplicate. The design is very complex and made from solid brass. The reason the bank charges so much for loss of keys is because if the key is lost they replace the whole unit including the draw.

Mind you I have rented it since 1998, so maybe they have changed the rules since then.....38,000 Baht....WOW!! I think I need to keep my other key in the safety deposit box.
