Cataract Surgery

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a hospital to remove a cataract.

Has anyone tried the Naval hospital at Sattahip?

Would appreciate any input on hospitals and prices.

Thank you :)

Mobi,

I have some alternative info, eg some drops from the west----personal friend overjoyed to avoid surgery---will send info to you if you email me, or perhaps I will get back to this thread. Also Chinese acupuncture available here, and perhaps some other alternatives. Up to you, of course

obi - I have had one eye done, will have the other done at the same place - Pattaya Eye Clinic - about 100 metres behind Carrefour on Soi whatever.

He has a web-site.

I first went to BPH and was quoted 45k per eye, but then some officious woman ame in and the price went to 75k per eye. I went through preliminary checks there and there was no regard for the fact that they were pushing sharp, scratchy things in my eyes. Very disturbing.

Went to Pattaya Eye Clinic and the guy (previously at BPH) was more polite, more firm than brutal, chatted well, generally acted like a human being and treated me as one.

Cost was 40k for one eye - see previous thread on this forum.
