I don't understand this...Is it illegal for MP's to hold shares in listed Companies !?. It seems pretty weird law.

For about a year i've been reading some weird stuff going around in Thailand. Doesn't it seems little childish, about the political scenario here ?

No they made it clear, all the MP's have to put their shares in listed companies on the wife or the children name.

Conflict of interest laws are very common in many countries.

They should all be dissqualified IMHO.

None of them follow the regs or laws for that matter.

Case of premadonna PM's ""I am in power"" and "the regs & laws are for the little people"

I have actual heard them say these things in public!

Conflict of Interest ..an interesting point ...but whos interest ...Are they at teh interest of teh country ...or at the interest of their political opponents !?

Honestly i never understood the politics here ...may be because i never lived here long enough..

I was there last year as a teacher in a school near Suttisan, and i do remember a mate of mine (Thai) going nuts over the news of people getting cornered by media blaming them for spreading gambling because they play in stock market.
