I have many old Hi-8 video cartrages but no longer own a Hi-8 video camera.

Is there any way I can play and/or record them onto another video format?

If you can obtain a Digital-8 camcorder they play Hi-8 out of the Firewire interface, capture to your PC and burn a DVD

Are you sure they will play on a Digital-8? I thought they were are different size cartridge.

The old Hi-8 is an expensive camera to buy.

Welcome to this forum.

You could go to one of those Video convertion places that will copy your tape to DVD for you - they have all the equipment for VHS to DVD and like. Should you be lucky, please post back on here with the results.

Sorry do not know any places, but there must be some in Thailand.
