Digital Tv Reception Quality On Sophon Cable

Featured Replies

How would you rate the television reception quality (digital versus analog TV sets) on Sophon Cable?

My old analog CRT TV is on it last legs.

Is it would the money to buy a new digital TV set for Sophon Cable?

I am thinking a new analog CRT TV might give better reception quality compared to the expensive new LCD flat screen digital TVs.

Not qite sure what your asking here.

As far as I know Sophon cable is not a digital TV provider ( if they are then where can I sign up :) )

they send an analog signal which can vary between quite good to very bad quality

depending apon what interference the cable suffers on its journey to your Tv set.

ohh hold on I just worked out what you mean...I would say the quality of Sophon is bad enough that you won't notice any difference between A CRT and LCD TV...just my opinion.

In general CRT tv's are a bit better then the new high tech TV's in makig poor analogue signals look better.

Although I just bought a 50" Plasma (LG, dirt cheap IMO at under 35,000 Baht) and cable TV looks actually better on it. Mainly I assume due to a better, more sensitive tuner inside, not because it is digital!
