If the language settings keep changeing, change your bookmarks to reflect the site www.facebook.com/yourid=

If the url has /th/ change it..

I had the same problem yesterday and tried many suggestions mentioned on the web, but finally found one that worked. At the bottom of the first screen, there should be two links (or whatever they are called) on the left side. If you click on the second one (the rightmost of the set of two) it will display all the languages. Select English and you will be all set.
