June 28, 200917 yr Hi All, Yearly wife extension is due this week. Has anyone done this at SP Room 507? If so how long were you there for? Any problems? Thanks, SL.
June 28, 200917 yr Hi, done my retirement visa there last week, was very quick and was easily the best experience I have had at Suan Phlu, and when I was there every one was beinging seen almost as quick as they walked in, hope you find the same, best of luck.
June 28, 200917 yr Please forgive my ignorance but what is this room 507 about? When I applied last week for my extension (Thai wife) I was herded as everybody else into room 101. Is rm507 an option or is it only for special cases? opalhort
June 28, 200917 yr Room 507 serves the provinces directly North of Bangkok - there is a list on support pole next to information counter. They are the provinces not mentioned in the issued directive of who reports where. Believe it extends up to Chai Nat Edited June 28, 200917 yr by lopburi3
June 28, 200917 yr Thanks for the info Lopburi3. Thought already I was to stupid to see an easier option but obviously it's not for me. opalhort
July 2, 200917 yr Author Just as an update to this, I went this morning to submit my wife extension application. Its actually Room 509 not 507 as I said initially. Got there at 1100, called to the officer within 5 minutes. Then we played musical chairs until the office boss signed off on my paperwork. Out the door in 1 hour exactly. very painless. However the immi officer did insist that the money (400k) had to be in the bank 3 months prior to renewal (i was just inside). And she was adamant on this point - 3 months or bye-bye. SL.
