*Tit FM 103 radio station has already been licensed and will soon grace the airwaves. This venture is run by Drew Noyes of the Pattaya Times. Their website will have streaming audio. Broadcast range will be all over Pattaya.

At last Sunday's expat club meeting ( http://www.pattayacityexpatsclub.com/ ), Noyes was already taking requests for preferred content (ie: talk radio, music types, comedy shows, etc.),. What would you like to hear?

Best of luck Drew!

*Tit stands for "This Is Thailand."

Thank you for the support. The success of the Pattaya Times newspaper in a big way is due to Thai Visa members, George and Barry. T.I.T. (This Is Thailand) Radio FM103 is now airing and will have a dramatic program change later this month. Yes, as one astute member posted below, 103 has been on the air for years. In fact, it was the first community radio station and run by a delightful lady named Anna who is 1/2 Thai and 1/2 American. It was called Pattaya Bay radio. At first, the format was kinda easy listening, then a really talented guy named Dragon convinced her to play exclusively hip-hop. And that worked for a while when the Russians were here. Now they are gone. We will always be here. So FM103 will play the music we like....Baby Boomers and Generation X guys who party, love life and see the best in living in Thailand!

Now Pattaya Times Media Corp. has acquired FM 103 and we want to make it the best radio station possible. Our line up is Rock 'n'Roll hits from the '70s and 80s, Talk Show mid day and Love Songs with dedications all night.

It will stream on the internet over our website under construction now as pattayatimes.co.th

Anyone who has any ideas that would be helpful to make FM 103 the station you would listen to on your car radio or in the background as you are posting or reading the forums at ThaiVisa, please let us know.

Soon we will be merging with a Bangkok production company and, yes, we are going to have TIT TV available in the next few months anywhere with computer access. TIT TV and the TIT radio will focus on Thailand and offer good coverage of the real news and events ThaiVisa guys like!

Hope to see you at the party!

Drew

Thanks for the clarification Drew, i trust you will be looking at boosting the signal somewhat as 103 can currently be a bit hit or miss at times.

I look forward to it and Good luck.

Thanks to LennyW and Craigslist for the support. We will boost the signal and relocate the transmitter for TIT FM 103 into Central Pattaya. If any one would like to donate some tme on-air or by gathering songs for broadcast we would like the extra help. We have about 30,000 song chices but mixing for radio is fun but time consuming.
