July 3, 200917 yr Hi, i'm after some expert advice please. We're thinking of staying in an apartment in Asoke Road at the Grand Park View Condo's. We will have a few meeting to go to at certain times. Are we making a mistake staying there. i've read it can be the worst place for traffic jams. One of the meetings will be at 9am, does that mean we're going to be stuck in traffic for hours in this area? Would it be better to stay in another area a bit further out? there are some other apartments right next to Ari BTS, would this be a better option? thanks all for your help Barbara

July 3, 200917 yr I live out in Onnut, and drive my wife to work in Asoke (Exchange Tower) every morning and 10-20 minutes later I am in Silom, even on a friday. the skytrain is there as well to make use off, I dont think you will have a problem getting to your meetings on time, once you get used to the area and traffic you will find it easy.
July 3, 200917 yr Try to avoid using taxis. Use the trains instead. Asoke would be better as it is the intersection of 2 mass transit lines - BTS and MRT.
July 3, 200917 yr Dunno if this helps in any way, but I work on Asok and find the traffic going towards towards Ratchada/Rama 9 usually much more worse than going in the opposite direction towards Sukhumvit / Rama 4. Between 5pm and 7pm it usually doesn't take me more than 15mins to get between San Saeb and Exchange Tower.

I agree with Insight, I work near the Grammy Building and definately know the flow.....(of traffic) if u can use the MRT or BTS - even if it is packed - best alternative to taxis....
