Greetings MeMock,

Good news:

Sunee/City Mall FreshMart is ordering some Nana pasta sauce and El Sapo salsa.

Not full cases to start, just trial qtys to test the market...3 or 4 bottles each flavor (6 bottles Traditional).

You have earned a shirt. I'll send it out to you ASAP.

Thank you for your referral and help.

To other Ubonites reading this:

Please give us a try (Nana Pasta Sauce & El Sapo Salsa) at City Mall FreshMart.

Also, please tell your friends and lets make sure they re-order soon to solidify our shelf space there.

Thanks so much.

NOTE: Accounting for time to key products into their barcode database and arranging shelf space, I expect product should be on their shelves by end of next week (July 31) - just in time for weekend shopping, I hope.

Thats great news! Well done. Well you can count me in for a few sales as I have already tasted one of your sauces and reckon it is great so as both I and my kids love spaghetti as soon as they are on the shelves will pick up a few and cook up a storm.

Well, I would think our pasta sauces and salsas should be on the shelves by now... has anyone tried them out?

Please let me know what you think, if so. Thanks :)

Its on the shelf now. 3 temperatures of salsa. 5-6 flavor varieties of pasta sauce. Appeared I was the first purchaser. Picked up a couple of sauces and the hot salsa. Will test it soon.

I just bought a jar of the hot salsa. First test a few minutes ago was very good. Got a decent amount of kick in it. All I need now are some decent corn chips.

Good location (ie not on the bottom shelf - is at chest level) and they have your advertising up as well. Only problem is that they don't have the prices up yet.

UbonTaz & MeMock,

Thanks so much for trying out our pasta sauces and salsa. :)

I hope you are satisfied with our offerings.

Yes, I formulated our Salsa Picante to have a good kick - I figure if you say its "hot" in Thailand, it better be. The Salsa Jalapeno provides a nice medium piquancy with the unique flavor of jalapenos, while Salsa Suave is mildly spicy, but has a nice aromatic flavor from the roasted green chilies and is also quite useful for cooking.

Personally I use all 3 salsas for different purposes, even though I usually like my food quite hot. I find I use Picante and Suave the most - Picante as a condiment for burritos and such, and Suave for making basic essentials like Mexican rice (Thai homali works great) and machaca (Mexican shredded beef). However, I prefer the Jalapeno salsa for serving with taquitos, flautas, and quesadillas, so as to enjoy the unique flavor of the jalapenos.

Not having masa products shouldn't prohibit one from enjoing good Mexican food!! We have some really nice recipes on our website for all of the items mentioned above, as well as for great homemade flour tortillas - all of which you can easily make at home in Ubon with simple and widely available ingredients. Please take a look, if you havent already (bottom of the El Sapo page, www.nanaproducts.com). I highly recommend the machaca recipe - yum - you can even make it with buffalo meat.

Muchas gracias and happy eating.

I forgot to mention when I posted that above that Mr Nana is a man of his word and sent me my very nice looking shirt in the mail.

Hiya Chef Heat, was just down at Sunee tonight and noticed you only have one jar of salsa picante left.

Hi MeMock,

Yes, just sent them 6 jars of Picante salsa and a few Traditional, Amatriciana, and Mushroom pasta sauces. They're still playing it a bit cautious, not full cases, but at least they re-ordered.

Thanks again for your help getting the account.

Glad you like the shirt :)

I know Thais like their pizza sweet and even top it with ketchup :D:):D

They say spaghetti weird and completely screw up pasta sauce. MMM ketchup and sugar, just (not) like a mumma make!

So I went out and bought a rice cooker, packet of penne, parmesan cheese, and one jar of Nana traditional pasta sauce. Tastes fresh, pretty good, although extra garlic and herbs and it would be almost perfect :D

They're going for 79 baht at the supermarket near Sunee Grand in Ubon.
