July 8, 200917 yr Just east of the stalled Park development near the market in Jomtien is a bunch of bungalows called Chavieng Resort. They've got a sign up outside saying "House for Rent". Has anyone ever looked in here? Prices, facilities, security, etc.? A hundred metres or so east of Chavieng Resort is another resort, the name of which escapes me. It also looks like a bunch of bungalows. Were these places built for tourists (hence the "resort" name), or are they just small villages that haven't taken off (yet)? I'll be in the market for a new dwelling in a couple of months, and I'm thinking of a house rather than a condo. I'm trying to do some homework beforehand, so I'd be grateful for any information.
