I have a Thai drivers license, which i believe is valid upto 2011. Im currently based in Singapore.. Appreciate any of your urgent help to translate the contents into english (from this attached image).

It expires 1st of April 2554 (2011) Seeing as the year is now 2552 (2009), you've got a while left on it.

The words; วันสิ้นอายุ mean expire, or good until.

Plus remember in thailand you cannot renew a driver's license until AFTER it expires. Although if you wanted, you could come back and get the new "Smart Card" driver's license issued to you which is written in both thai and english, and doesn't look like something you bought on KhaoSan Road.

I do not believe that is true. He has obviously got a 5 year licence which can be renewed prior to it's expiry. Only a 1 year licence has to be renewed after it expires.

"prodriver"; you are correct he does have a 5 year license. I was unaware they could be renewed before their expiration date, good info to know, thanx. I knew the old style could be traded for the Smart Card anytime. Good info to know, thanx

I think the yearly thai license can be renewed up to one year AFTER the expiration date, (but I only know thai nationals who have done this), so different rules may apply for foreigners holding a thai license.
