Dear Readers,

Do anybody have a experience with Siamcybernet. I am paying 700 Baht(2 Byte)for monthly for the Internet service because this Internet company has been signed contract with the Condo.

This is the very-very bad internet company which I every seen. Morning the Internet connection is in good position but in the evening till night the problem will be coming as disconnect on each 5-10 minutes.

Please do comments if any of the readers which have the experience on it.

Then please post download and upload speed, ping and server location

No need for a screenshot.

If you use speedtest.net I suggest you use SF or LA, NYC

user with the same provider can assist you better knowing that data

I am using LA,NYC as you suggest.

After the speedtest the result is:

Download:1.66 Mb/s

Upload: 0.17 Mb/s

Ping : 265 Ms.

Normaly in the day time is Ok but night time there usually have a problem.

for 2mb it looks (almost) perfect IMHO! Always deduct 25% from the promised bandwidth.

Upload should be higher but wait for other board members opinion.

EST is now xx:am - high traffic - even here in Thailand.

I suggest you test every day at the same time the same server location. You should not expect constant performance

throughout the entire day. During daytime you could download @ almost 1.7mb and that fine!

Regarding the disconnections -

I understand you don't have access to the router?

In this case talk to the building manager. I suspect the disconnection is caused by a very high line attenuation.

It could have many other reasons too.

My best advise is to test 3 times a day your connection for a week. Check local bandwidth too.
