Tourist Visa - Forever !?!

Featured Replies

So, here's the situation I'm in: I've requested the tourist visa from Bucharest, Romania (I'm Romanian, male, 30yo, by the way). I must leave on 20 Julie from Athens, since I have one of those non-refundable tickets, so I can't change ticket neither have time for another visa.

Therefore, I'll be able to stay there 60 days (+30, if extended).

The problem is, if I'll like it there, I'd like to stay more, but without leaving the country. Or at least without having to come back to Romania - it costs much and is a lot of wasting time. And this is why I'm asking here for help. What I'd like to know is:

- if possible, how can I stay longer then 90 days as a tourist? I've heard of those visa runs but haven't understood them entirely; (how, who can do it, where, how much costs etc.)

- also, if possible, can I change to ED visa? again, without having to come back to Romania; (again: how, who can do it, where, how much costs etc.)

Any other advice or suggestion regarding my situation is welcomed, but for you to understand better, all I want (if I decide to stay) is to stay as long as I can without having to travel back to Romania for another visa.

Thank you!

P.S. I'm talking about staying legally, of course :) and please save the stupid answers like "google is your friend or something" .. I wouldn't ask here if I'd have found or understand all the information I need. Thx again!

You can get Tourist Visas in countries next to Thailand. In Vientienne Laos you can get double entries. This would give almost 6 months stay with extensions and a border run in the middle.

For Education details look at the sponsors at the top of this page.

Are you sure I can, if there is an embassy in Romania? I've been sent from Athens to Bucharest for the tourist visa; I was trying to get from Athens first because I live there, but they sent me back to my homeland because there's an embassy there, too.

What sponsors? I only see google ads. A link would be fine.
