Extension On Non-immigrant O Type ,single Entry Visa

Featured Replies

hi,

I currently hold Non-Immigrant O type single entry visa.I would like to get it extended .I am an Indian and over 21 yrs.I found out that extension is not given for more than 7 days as am over 21yrs.I would like to know if there is any way to get any type of visa if not extension on the same type in order to stay for at least 2 months.

I also found that via Visa - run I will not get it going Cambodia as am an Indian.

Somebody kindly give me some information.

How long would you like to stay?

On what grounds did you get a non-O in the first place

I presume you don't qualify for a 1 year extension.

You can try to get a new non-O or a tourist visa, besides Cambodia you can try in Laos or Malasya.

I got a non O as my dad works here.now tell me if I qualify for the 1 yr extension or not.

I would like to stay for another 2 months.

Could you please get me the details as to whom I should be contacting for reaching Laos for a tourist Visa.

You may get a Tourist Visa in a neighbouring country. Being Indian might mean that you will not get one locally. Some Nationalities have to apply in their own country.

All you can do is try or give them a ring first. Try Vientienne http://www.thaiembassy.org/vientiane/consu...ervices_en.html or try ringing a Visa agent in Penang. Here is one. http://www.jimsplace-penang.com/

Being Indian you are entitled to apply for a Visa on Arrival. These are free at the moment. http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2482.php?id=2491

Thanks a lot for all the information.I shall give a try and just hope to get it.

Thanks once again.

You fathers status does not qualify you for extensions of stay as you are over age 20. As you seem to want to stay longer than 2 months perhaps you should check the ED visas that study would allow. Language study from advertisers meets the needs of many people and would be more useful that repeated visa/border runs.

Lopburi...

U mean to say that I need to join Thai learning and obtain the visa by saying that am studying in Thailand.Am not sure if u understood my explanation.

Kindly could u tell me more detailed on what u r trying to say.

Thank you.

I said there is an option to stay on a non immigrant ED visa for someone that wants to study Thai language. I am not saying you should or need to do that - only that it is an option. There are several schools that advertise there services on this website and for some people it fits there needs.
