Retiree Visa

Recommended Posts

Since you are marreid only one of you have to comply with the requirements for a non-immigrant visa based on retirement and the other spouse can get a visa as a dependent.

Once in Thailand you cn extend the visa if you can show an income of 65,000 per month OR 800,000 in a bankaccount in Thailand for 2 months OR a combination of income and money in the bank, totaling 800,000.

Your spouse can then extend her vis as your dependend and doesn't have to meet any other requirement besides being your wife.

One thing to be aware of though. This break of having your spouse ride on your visa is subject to changes in enforcement. Don't assume it will last. A while back there was serious talk (or even a time period?) of dropping this.

For now, Mario is correct.
