And now, a magazine for Thaksin

Sutham said the red shirts and general public could acquire shares in the company that published the magazine at 1,000 Baht per share.

Too expensive for toilet paper :)

Wow, You Farangs get all worked up about a pro-Thaksin initiative. But I understand that it takes time to turn around the brainwashing that has been the product of three years plus, of anti-Thaksin demonization program in the only media you can read. Fortunately the Thai electorate have shown they are more astute, and that is all that matters. Brain-washed Farangs can blow-viate all they want, and I enjoy interacting with them via these posts. I am surprised however by their susceptibility to anti-democracy politics, considering the democratic traditions they have grown up with. By the way, this magazine was conceived and is being published by "friends of Thaksin", and is not an initiative of his. Publishers know the huge readership involved and it is good business.

very well stated but wrongly addressed. You shouldn't generalize because not all farangs share the same opinion.

Sadly the brainwashing has been in play for more than 10 years,

and it has been bearing fruit for Thaksin, until he overstepped the mark.

It is only recently he felt any need to turn the brain spanners onto farangs as targets.

Some of us highly resent it. And no, in spite of racist attempts to lump us as one type,

we ALL think differently.

How do i get a subscription ?

It's easy, but it'll cost you your soul, dignity and sense of judicial fairness.

Aren't dignity, judicial fairness. ethics, moral, simple inventions by the

"military dictatorship" to prevent the man from spreading his goodness all over

the country and bring salvation and unseen riches to it's people?

I've see a stall with all Red papers and magazines at Imperial Lad Prao, outside D-station studio - they all seems to feature Thaskin's face.

There's also "Red News" paper sold at usual newsstands, I don't think that carries Thaksin on the front page of every issue, though.

It will be hard for reds to talk about democracy after being obsessed with Thaksin's birthday and the petition.

Maybe if they came up with some useful ideas on how to run the country or improve Thai democracy. "Let HM the King appoint Thaksin as economic advisor and everything will be fine" is not a useful idea as it's beyond the power of constitutional monarch.

Sadly, they can't come up with anything better than that.

Who can trust them to solve country's problems?

You forgot to add, 'while also cutting taxes & vowing not to borrow from overseas again', plus ' a free African diamond for every voter' ? :)

Al Jazeera running an item on censorship in Thailand (today) and the reds use of new media (Twitter, Internet radio, Facebook etc.) to get around the Coup leaders attempts to silence them.

Lots of shots of Thaksin, tons of red shirts and mention of Thaksin's overthrow in a coup.

Coup still in place but they are having to resort to more and more Burmaesque solutions to the problem of democratically elected people expecting to be allowed to take their seats.

I am sure there was a post about the radio station somewhere, but I don't have time to find it. EDIT thaksinlive.com was the radio station.

What's the frequency kenneth?

BANGKOK, 31 August 2009 (NNT) – Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra will broadcast his radio program via his website www.thaksinlive.com tomorrow at 8.30 pm.

The staff of the website are preparing to install the voice broadcasting program in order to officially open Inter Thaksinlive Radio Station which will be moderated by the former Prime Minister himself.

The misspelling had been well commented on on Thai forum. It is probably not an accident and aimed at certain segments of the red movement and their beliefs

I see he's changed the spelling for Thaksin for his dot com site and doesn't use the Taksin spelling from the magazine.

Funny website, btw.

Yeah, as if they know anything about it.

But then again, as a global network they have to talk about a lot of stuff the haven't the foggiest idea about.

Coup still in place..

Which place? We are on the forth govenrment since the coup.

Personally I find a lot of the Thaksin propoganda sites quite entertaining. I have not had a chance to view the full plethora of magazines yet.

Sorry he hasn't come back yet,

no matter how much the sheeple bray for his return.

Comparing Thailand and Burma governance is an exercise in futility.

One is struggling with problems, and one has lost the battle.

If you can't tell the difference you've likely lost the battle too.

he came back for the people

Yeah, you are right. He certainly came back for the people....who, among other things, have locked up 76 billion Baht of the money he's stolen from the nation. :)

he will get it back one day, with interest :D

he is more of a robin hood

Errr, I think the entire nation, not the sqaurehead, paid for his populist programs. If you have evidence to the contrary, please share it on here. Also I was never aware that gov't budget belonged to the PM. Is that how it is back in your home country? The PM allocates his own money for the gov't budget?

This guy did everything from changing the laws to declaring an extra working day for the entire gov't sector (Dec 31 of what year I don't really remember) to dodge all the taxes he had to pay in his business dealings..and you believe he would give even one satang to anyone? Come on..
