Immigration Office In Bangkok May Move In August

Featured Replies

According to someone on the inside the Immigration Office is moving most of it's people from Suanphlu to Chaeng Wattana on the 12th of August (the Queen's birthday and a public holiday). I haven't heard any public announcement about this.

May be a rumor but it is less than a month away so I thought maybe somebody knows more about it. It seems much too intelligent to do the move during a holiday so naturally I find the information suspect.

I was in Suan Phlu today and I asked about it. Indeed some offices will move to Cheang wattana but nobody seems to know exactly wich offices. Probably the people from Nonthaburi, Nakhom Ptathom and other neighbouring provinces north of Bangkok must go to Cheang wattana in the future, but nothing is certain yet.

The immigration officer told us that there are so many different offices inSuan Plhu that nobody seems to know for sure what is happening in the future about the relocation
