Visa Run - Tiring ?

Featured Replies

I am hesitating in spending up to a year retreat in Thailand, Chiang Mai or Bangkok. After much research, it seems one have to do a visa run once every 2 weeks, isn't it tiring? And it shall incur unnecessary expenses and uncertainties too.

I am fascinated about Thai culture and people, and have had put in much time and effort to pick up Thai language.

However I have only realised recently that one have to do visa run every 2 weeks, and that have derailed my initial plan.

For those who currently doing visa run, is it a drag? And is it tiring?

Get a proper visa before you come then this won't be necessary, although you may have to go every 90 days.

Moved to Thai Visas.

Get yourself a double entry tourist visa. Free of charge and you can stay for 6 months with one border run in the middle.

Where is 'here', an Honorary Consulate will likely offer better options than the embassy :)

The Thai Embassy in Singapore may issue you a double as you are Singaporean.
