February 23, 200521 yr Dear all, I have just re-read my post and understand the confusion, clearly i was drunk when I wrote it. THIS is what we were told..... that an onward ticket is insufficient for issuing a visa on entry. Visas on entry are only issued to those who have return tickets. and no strangly we have never heard about this at Poi Pet / Aranya
February 23, 200521 yr Don't know where your original post is but it would help to know what you are talking about as only about a couple handful of countries can obtain a visa on arrival in Thailand and believe they are all 15 days. Most countries can obtain a 30 day entry without visa and a return ticket is not a requirement for that. Onward ticket to a country that you have authority to enter and confirmed reservations are the most that is ever required in this case and most of the time is not even checked by immigration. Only the airlines check this as a rule. Below is the quote from Royal Thai Consulate LA Must have a valid passport (6-month validity with empty visa pages), proof of confirmed air tickets showing 30 days or less in Thailand, must have clean record in Thailand (no criminal history) and carry at least $200 per person or $400 per family. Extension of stay will not be granted. Please note that these regulations can change without notice.
