Non-imm Ed Re-entry Question

Featured Replies

I have a Non-Imm ED visa.

Date of issue: August 14, 2008.

Enter Before: November 13, 2008

Entered on: August 23, 2008.

My last extension is due on August 17, 2009. But I'm going home to Sweden for a month on July 29th and will be coming back on August 27th.

My question is, if I buy a re-entry permit before I leave can I still get my last extension when I come back on August 27th? And what would my new extension date be?

Or can I do my extension before I leave on let's say August 27th? (21 days before my extension)

I might as well ask this question to:

My school finishes sometime around August 20th will this be a problem to get my extension later

when I come back even though I got my extension papers from my school before I left?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Oscar

You can and need to extent your permission to stay before you leave and at the same time apply for a re-entry permit. Your extension for 1 year will start when your current permission to stay ends.

If you return the 27th without an extension of stay plus re-entry permit you would have to get a new visa in Sweden.
