September 29, 200322 yr i recently won an appeal in the uk (1 september) for my wifes sister to visit on 6 month visa. anyone know how long before she will be called into uk embassy, for visa thanks
September 29, 200322 yr When the adjudicator in the UK reaches his/his decision, in this case to allow the appeal, a copy of the reasons is sent to both the appellant (you/your sister-in-law) and the respondent (the visa officer). It may take some time for the respondent's copy to be received at the embassy. However, your sister-in-law does not need to await the embassy to invite her to come and collect her visa. She can contact them of her own accord armed with a copy of the determination in case the visa officer has not received his/hers. There should be no difficulty in your sister-in-law's visa being issued but if the visa officer is miffed because he lost the appeal and fancies being an awkward b*****d then he can insist upon re-interviewing your sister-in-law. If her circumstances have materially changed for the worse since the initial application then he can refuse her again. Regards, Scouse.
