Just wondered if any one had taken out the iPhone extended warranty or will be taking it out

I've had my 2g iPhone a little over a year and there's already been two hardware updates. I've not had any issues with the phone in this time.

My feeling is the extra warranty's not worth it, you're already covered for the first year if anything is actually wrong with the hardware, and after that you'll be wanting the 5gSuperS or whatever new model they have out to replace your 'old' model anyway, put the money towards that

After one year your going to need a new battery, that alone pays for the extended, not to mention in case you drop it or damage the touch screen, which gets hammered pretty good.

That's why I went for the extra year warranty, It"s a good deal.
