Does anyone know a source of clear plastic rod in Thailand -- I would prefer in the Chiang Mai area. I need some sections ( about 30 cm long ) of 38 mm ( 1.5") and 44 mm ( 1.75") plastic rod. These will be machined to shape to make new parts for medical equipment -- so cast rod is better than extruded.

I have source in Iowa (USA) but would really rather not go through all the aggravation of importing them.

Any help wouldd be much appreciated.

I am not sure what type of rod you want, as there are many types of plastic, but a quick search on this site for "Plastic Rod" showed a lot of promise.

They are not cheap, but their service is excellent and deliver all over the country for a nominal charge

Sorry - I should have been more specific - I am looking for acrylic clear rod - cast preferred..
