A German man in Nongkhai was at the Imm Police Office and they told him to renew his retirement visa AT LEAST one month before it expires. I can not believe this and I think this has been discussed here before. Maybe he misunderstood the words. As far as I know you can renew within the last month before it expires....

You do an extension within the last 30 days of your permission to stay. However, it always recommended not to wait till the last day, in case you forgot some document or whatever.

Might indeed be a misunderstanding, but many immigraiton offices are willing to extend early. Pattaya even recommends it do it well before the last 30 days.

Pattaya 90 days in advance is OK.
