i am a uk national, and will be studying in BKK for a month, do I need a visa to be able to do this, I have been told yes???

What type of school is it?

Are they recognized by the Ministry of Education in Thailand?

If they are, they will provide a letter so you can apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa, propably a class "ED" (Education Visa).
