syd barrett
Anyone have any news or experience with the new Jomtien / Airport bus service ? If you go to the dedicated Thai Visa Suvarnabumphi Airport Forum, you will be able to read many bus trip reports. I am not aware that the Jomtien-Airport service is 'New' but they go from Soi Chayapreuk at regular intervals and used to be priced at 106 Baht. (This includes a free and hard and stale rock bun of negligible nuritional value but useful in responding to an impromptu airport protest by red/yellow shirts). wca01
There is a new Airport bus service from Jomtien. The brandnew office is just opposite the PANPAN Italien restaurant at Thappraya road. There also leave the buses. First bus at 8 am. Afterwards every 2 hours. Buses seem to be very new. Price 126 Baht. wCA

PC800
I just returned from 2 days in Bangkok. Living in Jomtien, I love the Jomtien-Airport bus from Chaiyapruek. It seems that the same bus company that runs the buses from Pattaya North has taken over the run, and has added a 2nd bus station (Chaiyapruek and now near FoodMart and View Talay 1). The fare is 124 baht. Newer buses with decent legroom. The bus used to stop at the bus terminal at the airport, but I think it only stops now at the main terminal at the airport. But, regardless, there is a free shuttle between them. MORE buses at more times which is good. Also, from the bus terminal, you can connect to many buses to the city. 551 to Victory Monument is 34 baht. Also one to Sukhimvit. I also discovered today that there is a counter on the 1st floor of the main terminal, that sells ticket to Pattaya, and has a waiting area, and you are called when the bus arrives. I am pleased with the service.

jbaldwin
I used the service yesterday. I live in Thabali condo so the departure point is very convenient. Left on time. Took 1 hour 20 mins to the airport. Drop off at departure level not the bus station. However, I took the 10.00am service. Only 6 passengers. Not sure how long they will continue if they do not get more business.

Well it is off season. You have to imagine they likely have capitalized to at least test this over the upcoming "high" season.
