How Did You Feel Upon Returning To Los After Your Holiday?

Featured Replies

I've leaving the States after a month long holiday to see my daughter and will be returning to LOS this weekend.

I had been in Thailand for a year, the longest time since I retired and it is interesting to recognize what I missed and didn't while being away. Overall I'd lived there on and off for about three years.

Right off, of course I didn't miss the &@%$* heat. This July was Michigan's coolest on record and it was fantastic. Very little humidity or rain. Awesome weather.

But I missed many things: The casual, stress free daily living. The delicious food (especially the grilled fish). All my Thai friends, who have always made me feel so welcome. I even missed the wife's family nid noi :) , they aren't perfect but they are decent people.

It will be great getting back!

I also missed much more, but I am curious to hear how you've felt upon returning to LOS after holiday, and what you missed and didn't.

LOS is more like home to me than California - miss the casual, stress-free, safe, casual, super-friendly folks here.

Even miss the heat. Welcome home, Pardner

Unfortunately mine are usually working holidays for 6 months to a year :)
