High Internet Access

Featured Replies

Guys i need at least 10 mb internet access

How much would it cost to me

and also how much should i spend for devices, such as ADSL Modem...

I believe the highest available now in Bangkok is the True 8Mb plan, if you live in the right area. You'll be lucky to get close to that domestic, not a chance for international. They'll give you a modem for a deposit, or you can buy one yourself for around 1,500 baht.

If you're not in Bangkok I don't think you'll find these speeds over ADSL.

What do you mean by international ?

i have heard it a lot here

Is the speed different from visiting the websites which their servers are in Thailand or in neighbors countries

or the websites which their servers are in USA or far countries ???

^ Yes, massively different.

I think there are other solutions available but very expensive for large companies only.

Maximum download speed with ADSL: 8192kbps

That's the same as 8Mbps. This is a technical limit, if you want anything faster you have to find an ISP that offers

-ADSL2 (12Mbps)

-ADSL2+ (24Mbps)

Other options above this are E3, ATM, etc and require real routers (so not the web-based home boxes from Pantip).

CAT and others provides fix IP 15 000 a month fixed 2 MB true internet speed for 8 MB is to their station nothing more. They do not have that much power to give people 8 MB. Qnet provides internet for most the embassy in Bangkok they can give you a fixed line with fixed price as well.
