I am looking at a .mov file in Quicktime from a website.

Since I can stop it and manually move through the entire clip (10 seconds or so), I assume it is on my machine and not only at the source website.

But I don't know how to save it to my machine for viewing when offline.

Any ideas.

I know how to print screen for a jpeg or still shot in a mpeg to save a sanpshot. But I want to capture this entire .mov.

Thanks

It's probably cached on your machine, so it should be in the browser cache. For IE, you can look in the internet options, temp internet files, settings, view files. From there you can copy the file to some other directory.

If you have the full quicktime window, you can use the file-save as function. But then a movie viewed within a browser usually only has the play functions.

You nailed it. Copy and paste worked fine once I found the file.

Thanks so much.

Owe you one if you're ever in Bkk Suk area.
