Question On Non-immigrant Ed Visa Application Time

Featured Replies

Hello everyone I am hopeing you guys might be able to help me with a question.

I am applying for a non-immigrant ED visa from the Thai embassy in tokyo, i will be studying at Webster University in Cha-am

the thing is I need to be in Thailand on August 8th. I will be flying up to tokyo on thursday the 30th, I have a letter from the university requesting for my visa to be urgent but am I living in a dream, how long does it ussually take to get this kind of visa?

I already know the official stated time: 30 days or something. But i want to know from other peoples expeirences.

thank you

Are you resident in Japan? They do not issue visas to those who are not from my understanding. I have no idea how long it might take.

currently I am SOFA sponsored (military)

but I also am still a registered alien here fom when I went to Japanese University

what is my best bet to apply under?

If I apply under my alien status will the require a letter from my old japanese school which will be impossible from what i understand they would want.

I would be asking that of the University you intend to attend. It is there job to advise you. Expect most people obtain a visa locally in Malaysia but not sure. In that case it would be next workday.
