1 referee can be a normal person, as long as they're a British National over 25 and have known wifey for at least 3 years. The second referee in addition to the already mentioned needs to be somebody of a professional standing - Doctor, dentist, Accountant etc etc etc. The UK Border Agency have a list of acceptable referee's on their website. Problem is wifey doesn't know any UK professionals personally and we want to get the form in pronto - before the proposed changes.

Ideas? Advice? Best, UKme.

Assuming your wife is in thailand -I do not think the referee has to be British - So any lawyer or other professional in Thailand would be OK - along with their Co Stamp address and tel number etc .
