Prostitution Cycle Broken As Woman Sentenced To Six

The long hard endurance of rape sex and prostitution has come to an end for women that Atchara Nualpenyai, aged 30, bought into Britain from Thailand.

She paid criminals to ship these women to the country, she then took their passports and forced them to sell their bodies.

Nualpenyai, was at the centre of a human trafficking and prostitution network was jailed for six and a half years today.

Paying criminals in Thailand to bring women into the UK, they had their passports taken away and were then forced to work as prostitutes to repay “debt bondages” of up to £30,000.

The women were forced to work every day, sometimes sent to other brothels in London and even as far as Bristol.

Appearing at Croydon Crown Court, Nualpenyai admitted running two brothels in east London – one in Wanstead High Street and one beneath her flat in Perth Road, Gants Hill.

She advertised the two sites in local newspapers and on the internet, and owned three mobile phones used in the advertising. Prices ranged from £30 for 10 minutes to £100 for a one-hour service.

Nualpenyai paid about £11,000 to people in Thailand for the women to be brought to the UK. She also hired maids and ran both brothels, making £100 to £200 per day at each property.

She was caught after one of her victims contacted police in December 2008.

A financial investigation is currently ongoing into how much money Nualpenyai made from the vice network, after enquiries revealed she transferred about £8,000 into an account in Thailand.

Detective Inspector Kevin Hyland, from the Metropolitan Police’s clubs and vice unit, said: "I would like to commend the tremendous courage of the victims who contacted us and worked with us to achieve this sentence today.

“I would urge anyone who has been trafficked and exploited in this way to contact police. Our investigations look at building up a strong evidential case that does not require victims to testify at court, but we will do all we can to help and support you and ensure those responsible are brought to justice."

Sad, but it's the oldest profession in the world and the hypocrites always want to point the blame elsewhere. It is the slavery aspect that makes this case so odious. I don't see a lot of harm in prostitution where there are choices. Women have been using their bodies to gain all sorts of advantages in non-Islamic countries. Even many marriages are not a lot different... and certainly many divorce settlements are very similar.

..... it's the oldest profession in the world .....

Have you heard this one before: It is just my job, I can do nothing else to earn money and make a living to support family, I not have feeling, but I really love you, can you be my (girl/boy)friend, etc....???!!!???

Uuuhm, just make it much more thai BKK related?!?

Maybe, just laziness & easy bar money all over the world?

150K+ pound a year, probably tax free. That isnt that bad, is it?

So it's OK to make money from enslaving these poor women, and forcing them to sell their bodies is it?

People like this Nualpenyai woman should be executed, in my opinion.

There was a similar case to this in Sydney a while back.

Some of the the girls claimed to be "sex slaves" and the moma san was sentanced to time in prison.

Later it came out that all the girls were willing sex workers but the brothel owner was ripping them off too much. The other reason they went to the police was they found out they could claim assylum by saying it would be too dangerous to go home because the "sex slave mafia" would kill them and their families. They later got permanent visas on humanitarian grounds!

It's amazing the Australian & UK public actually believe these girls stories :)

Did I read that right, she was making 100 to 200 pound per day per brothel? Doesnt seem right to me, more creative reporting? :)

I am not so sure about that - I know of one Thai girl who earned GBP 300 'entertaining' customers at a local 'club' - this was not London and although she did not work every night, a percenatge to the mamasan soon adds up.

I'd say you just have to chalk that one up to the risks of doing business in a shaddy market. Don't be surprised if you step in shiet if your job is shoveling shiet.

agree to some extent, but all participants should use protection..... sharing cooties and HIV is not good.

When you try to get a visa to the UK for a gf or wife you have to jump through hoops, even if its only for a two week holiday.

So how can these traffikers get the girls there in the first place?????

HL :)

I've always wondered the same thing, happylarry. It is the same in Canada and I no longer even try bringing a woman visitor to Canada. She has to own a 5 million baht home in Thailand before being allowed to come. But Honduran drug runners, Indian plane bombers, Islamic terrorists and Chinese mafia have no problem at all getting into Canada.

Customs say the young women will run off and cause problems later. Even if they did it wouldn't amount to anything when compared to the bad guys who come and go freely.

If you ask my personal opinion about this case, no i dont think it's ok to make money with forcing women into prostitution. However i can imagine some other people do not have any problem with it, if they make 150K+ pounds a year.

Guessing if the amount mentioned in the article are the real earnings is useless, but to state only 100-200 pund a brothel and having three brothels doesnt earn any money is <deleted> in my opinion.

With a respectable job i will not earn such kind of money ever...
