Would you send your kids to harvard?

UK Defined Benefits pension, early retirement
I've recently been through a very similar situation (also with a pension managed by Towers Watson) and their explanation to me was... The scheme's annual increase is on 1st November so any quote I had up until 31st October would have been calculated to include the 2025 increase & then discounted backwards from final pension age for taking it early. As I will reach final pension age before 1st November 2026 any quote I get for after 1st November 2025 will not include the estimated annual increase for 2026. The quote I have for October would not be what I would get as I would be taking the pension before the 2025 increase was applied so it would be reduced by the annual increase. At the end of the day, without pulling the trigger, I won't know exactly what I will get until after the 2025 increase is confirmed, but I do know that I would not get more by taking it in October. FWIW I've decied to leave it as-is until it fully matures, now I just need to decide how much (if any) PCLS to take... Hope this helps. -
