I can point you to one small aircon repair shop that you can try. They repaired my air conditioner quite quickly and cheaply s compaired to the bullshit and estimate I got from the Nissan dealer.

On sukhumvit road heading towards Sattahip between North Pattaya road and Pattaya klang. It is almost opposite the New Krung Thai bank Office, roughly about 500 meters from the traffic lights at the North Pattaya road intersection. Just drive slowly in the nearside lane and you will spot the compressor etc, on the pavement.

Stay cool.

There is a good place also on Sukhumvit just north of Pattaya nua .I think its just past the Esso station .Its on a corner a 3 storey shop house painted dark green .They specialise in A/C .They fixed the A/C on my Toyota hiace van in 30 minutes for 900 baht .

fair enough Djinn, your right I did not read all of it, thought it was about paint work. I know of Peter, what was the price if you dont mind me asking, PM if you wish?

No problem :cost 6240 b for taking out dashboard, cleaning airco (no more ants..... :) ) and replacing a valve.

Had a problem with compressor before.Toyota asked 28000 b to repair.Didn't know CRP at the time.Peter told me recently it costs around 12000 to fix it....

Have experience with the shop next to ESSO on Sukhumvit near the Naklua/Banglmaung intersection. Good jobs but pretty expensive.

Another perfect shop is Boy Air & Sound. On Sukhumvit East-Side. Driving from Naklua to Sri Racha, pass the Banglamung Police Station, pass the traffic lights and take the next U-turn.

Once taken the U-turn, it's about 400 meters on the left.

cheers guys, interesting on the prices, a mate of mine was quoted 12,000 and 15,000 in Pattaya and had it done by a car/aircon company in Burriram for 2,450 big difference, although I dont want to go to Burriram. but I dont want to get ripped off either.
