Provided you ave not written any new data to the mem stick since you deleted the file it should be easy to recover. There are many free undelete utilities available, just google for one. Maybe other forum members have a favourite they would recomend.

If you have written other data to the mem stick since deleting the Excel file your chances of recovery are less but it may still be woth a try

First and foremost, don't write anything else to the drive.

Try the Recuva app that Tywais mentioned, i've used it before successfully.

If for some reason Recuva does not get the file back, you can also try using TestDisk for the recovery operation.
