August 14, 200916 yr i live in chiang mai and rent a house with contract in my name. I want to change my international and dutch driving license to a thai one. I know I need the letter of residence for this. My question I have a non ed visa and a rent contract fopr 1 year will this be enough to get the letter? thanks in advance rick
August 14, 200916 yr The contract with 90 day reports should be enough, alternatively you should be able to get one from your embassy, although a lot more expensive.
August 14, 200916 yr Some Immigration Offices do not issue these any more. You will have to ask Immigration in Chiangmai
August 14, 200916 yr If you have a WP you can use that instead of residency letter when obtaining DL.
