I might be giving it a miss :D

Won't your new flickr proceeds cover the cost? :D

Wow and at 37 Mega Pixel, the lenses must be something else. I was turned off Leica kit when my uncle, who was and still is a professional nature photographer gave away his R3 or R4 (I forget now) and went back to his "Trusty Canon F1" as he did not like a camera that was smarter then him.

Na, more likely the Canon G10 :D

Love my G10 - bang it around all day in the glove compartment, trouser pocket and the bottom of the laptop bag. It still turns great photo's, once I remove my name and Phone number from the Exif data.

no way, in 2 years or so you will get that resolution for 1/10 of the price, and you will use the lenses you use now (I hope so)

doubt it - from what I can see, there won't be that many purchased to even come on the 2nd hand market ! :)

Looks impressibely compact (EOS 1D/1Ds, Nikon D3/D3X size) for a camera that incorporates a sensor 56% larger than full frame.

Watch the temperatures in the glove compartment.

It can play havoc with the rubber seals and shutter mechanism of the camera.

I mean other models/brands with that resolution

Actually there was a rumour of Canon going digital MF but I can't see this really happening.

Would be nice though for Canon shooters - but the cost! :)

Thanks - I will remember that good point.
