I'm planning a few days up in the capital.

I'd like to shoot Suvanabhumi, Wat Po and the Grand Palace site.

Point is, there appears to be a great deal of scams, scandals and problems associated with either these places or shooting them.

Can anyone advise please

Appreciated

i go to Wat Pho often, never had any problem during shootings, i never go to Grand Palace as the entrance fee is the first scam you have to go through :)

IIRC, you can't take tripods into the Palace. But that's OK, I happen to know it'll be shut the day you go. Why not come with me to a special temple that few farang know about, and then maybe a jewellers or tailors ...

Get off the beaten track.

Try the Marble Temple and the Golden Buddha (5 tons of solid gold!!)

Also the Royal Barges.

Thanks for that - stock image research hence specific locations.

I was only concerned about photography being prohibited.

Already got plenty of clothes and jewelry "Mark" :)

Photography of emerald Buddha itself prohibited from what I remember.

Back in film days you'd see exposed film pulled from magazine hanging in the hall that houses Emerald Buddha.

yep, today it's just SD cards and the like.

....maybe the place to pick up cheap SD cards :)

I love Wat Pho and Traimitr ......nothings shines like solid gold

No probs taking pics of the Emerald Buddha from outside the hall, you're just not allowed to take pics inside (unless this has changed recently).

If you read about a farang arrested next week - remember me fondly! :)

I’ve shot at all three locations with no problems.

You have to wear long pants at the Grand Palace no matter

how hot it gets. :D Normally you would not need a guide

at THe Grand Palace except that your stock shot needs

might require details that would be easy to obtain from a guide.

I think I paid 300 baht for half a day. Check their english skills

if you decide to go that route. Good luck with the weather.

As far as the airport some photos of King Power would be

highly prized. :)
